Meals on Wheels Western Michigan is excited to be working with the Michigan State Extension program to once again bring Senior Project Fresh to West Michigan. Eligible applicants over the age of 60 who reside in Kent county can sign up to receive a coupon book equal to $20 worth of vouchers. Participants or a proxy must attend a nutrition class to receive the coupon books. These vouchers can be used exclusively on fresh fruits and vegetables at their local farmers’ markets. This service offers fresh, Michigan-grown produce to eligible seniors throughout the summer season, in addition to supporting Michigan farmers. Kent County has a limited amount of coupon books to distribute and the classes will be filling up soon. Once the classes are full, we will start a waiting list. All coupons are valid through the end of October. They expire on October 31st.

There are no longer Senior Project Fresh vouchers available for 2017. In May 2018, please give us a call at (616) 364-1104 for information on the upcoming year.
