Volunteering During COVID-19
Meals on Wheels Western Michigan would like to thank every single individual that has stepped up to the plate to volunteer their time and donate funds and/or goods during COVID-19. We have been amazed by the outpouring of love and support from our community during these uncertain times. We have been ensuring the safety and health of our volunteers by providing masks, encouraging handwashing, and limiting the number of volunteers and staff in the building at the same time. At this moment, we are looking for volunteers assisting with delivery & packing meals and helping at our pantry. Meals on Wheels Western Michigan and our seniors are grateful beyond words for your dedication to help the most vulnerable in our community. If volunteering is something you’re interested in, please sign up using the link below.

Other Volunteer Opportunities
Adopt a Route
Consider “Adopting a Route” as a group. Groups designate a coordinator to organize a group of volunteers to take a complete route every M, W, & F. Arrangements can be made to have meals dropped at a desired site. Great opportunity for churches, businesses, and clubs to have a minimal commitment that makes a BIG impact!
Emergency Box Assembly
Starting in October, emergency boxes are assembled with shelf stable items. These boxes are delivered prior to the winter season to be used by our homebound clients in the event inclement weather prevents the delivery of their meals.
Independent Food Drives
Food drives can be done at any business, church, school or organization at any time of the year. Food collected goes directly to our senior pantry clients.
Any other creative ideas you may have are always welcome!
