A Meal and a Smile

Good food is not just a luxury. Nutritious food, provided in a social context, can transform a senior’s physical health, financial well-being and emotional outlook. Meals on Wheels Western Michigan provides so much more than a meal. We provide peace of mind for seniors and their families. Our nutrition services help seniors remain healthy and independent in their own homes. We also provide an equally important social connection that nourishes the soul.

We provide adults 60 years of age and older in Kent and Allegan Counties with a range of options to best meet their nutritional needs. Please check out the opportunities below or call us for more information at 616-459-3111.

Am I Eligible?

To be eligible a person must be 60 years of age or older, live in Kent or Allegan County, and be homebound. Generally homebound means that a person does not leave their home unassisted on a regular basis. Under 60 spouses or partners of eligible clients may also qualify. A person does not have to be low income to qualify. Additionally, all persons must be able to be home at the time of delivery or notify us in advance if not. We check up on everyone who does not come to the door to make sure they are safe.

Persons under the age of 60 or who otherwise don’t meet the above criteria can receive meals on a sliding scale fee basis. Please call for more information. 616-459-3111 ext. 0
