Thank you for choosing to volunteer with Meals on Wheels Western Michigan (MOWWM)! The volunteer handbook holds all the information you need to have a successful volunteer experience.

- Be respectful and kind to employees, clients, fellow volunteers, visitors, and members of the public

Be a Team Player
- Follow and prioritize food safety and other safety procedures as laid out by MOWWM staff members
- Sign up for volunteer opportunities and stay the entirety of the opportunity
- Cancel volunteer opportunities through our volunteer software when you are not able to make it
- Ask questions for clarification on certain tasks
Do the Right Thing
- Take care of MOWWM property that you use during your volunteer shift
- Adhere to MOWWM’s zero tolerance policy for drugs/alcohol/firearms on the MOWWM campus
Aim for Excellence
- Follow the volunteer role description found in the description of the event
- Follow training and orientation given by Mentor Volunteers or MOWWM staff
- Tell a staff member improvements you believe could make MOWWM an even better organization to be at
