Miles driven each week to deliver meals
At the beginning of June 2026, our kitchen will be under renovation as we transform the space to create a modern, purpose-built kitchen that will allow us to cook, plate, and distribute even more nutritious meals for seniors in Kent and Allegan Counties.
From now until May 29, 2026 we need additional help to FILL OUR FREEZERS from groups and individuals as we prep and plate meals before our kitchen temporarily closes. This volunteer push is vital. With your help, we can fill our freezers now to ensure that every senior who depends on Home Delivered Meals continues receiving them without interruption.
Help us FILL THE FREEZER today!
If you are looking for a fun volunteer experience, come chill with us! Plating meals for seniors in your community will help fill your heart. Your time here will include a tour of our operations, a short training video on food safety, getting food safety ready, and around 2 hours on your feet in the kitchen to help plate and portion meals.
Help FILL THE FREEZER by preparing and packaging meals in our kitchen. With a production of over 2,500 meals per day, this is a great way to make a difference in our community!
This opportunity takes place at our Grandville location, 2900 Wilson Ave SW, Suite 500, Grandville, MI 49418.
Our volunteer groups have included everything from companies to classes, small groups, and more. We can accommodate groups of up to 20 individuals. All group participants must be at least 13 years of age.
For your safety, please wear shirts with sleeves, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. For food safety, please remove jewelry like smart watches, bracelets, and rings with raised embellishments (unless it’s a simple band).
Even if you can’t volunteer on the kitchen crew, there are still plenty of ways to volunteer.
