What an incredible partnership we have with UPS. We cannot be more grateful for their continued support!
Last week Friday, we were handed-delivered a donation of $8,000! This generous grant will be used to provide CPR Training to 20 of our team members. In addition to that, we will be using the funds to purchase LED lighting. Along with being more sustainable, LED Lighting is a huge cost saver. The savings from LED Lighting will allow us to designate more of our funds to the mission of Meals on Wheels Western Michigan – providing quality nutrition services in a supportive environment to promote the health and independence of older adults.
In addition to this grant, UPS employees have been valuable volunteers to our program, helping out especially during our busy holiday deliveries. In fact, with Christmas next week, we have an uber delivery day this upcoming Friday. Three teams of UPS employees will be coming out to help us with our deliveries. Together we will be delivering meals for Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, AND Tuesday, all on that day. The extra help they give is so greatly appreciated!
